Clarence Village Ltd is a local community based’’ not for profit’’ organisation.  Our aim is to provide good quality affordable residential facilities for seniors in the community and we have done so since the early 1970s.  Our three facilities work together and provide a range of services and accommodation types to suit most seniors’ need.   

 

The Clarence Village Independent Living Units provide 94 individual units (one, two bedroom and two bedroom with study) to accommodate people who wish to live independently yet  within close proximity to other residents for security and community activities.  Situated close to public transport, hospital and general store within easy walking distance at each of the 6 separate sites.

 

Clarence Village on Queen provides rental accommodation for independent seniors within a safe, affordable and comfortable community. There are no entry contributions payable, no exit fees, no long term contracts or hidden costs. Rental is based on a percentage of the highest Aged pension and maximum rental assistance. Utilities such as telephone and electricity are paid separately by the residents.

Each unit comprises a lounge, functional kitchenette complete with a fridge and microwave, airy bedroom with a purpose built large ensuite and a private courtyard. There are one and two bedroom units available. Included is a continental breakfast and freshly prepared lunch and dinner, fresh bed linen and towels weekly and free use of laundry facilities.  Residents have the freedom of bringing a small pet (with prior approval). 

 

Clarence Village Dougherty Villa provides 24 hour care, laundry services, meals prepared and cooked on site, cleaning services and wide range of activities. We have a wonderful team of staff who help us provide quality services in a homelike environment. Our Villa has 54 single rooms with ensuites, each room is furnished with a bed, bedside table, chair, kitchenette, built in robes and external patio. Residents may furnish their room with other small items of furniture and personal items. We have 4 sets of interconnecting rooms for partners, 2 respite rooms for short term stays and a 14 bed secure wing for specific care needs. 

 

The lifestyle choices we offer shouldn’t be left until the last minute. Our residents have found that the social atmosphere, degree of care on offer , quality facilities with the chores of daily living primarily done for you, leaves you time to enjoy life.
